Problem Statement
An Inspection Speed was 700 preforms/minute and refused to be operated at the same speed as it was a continuous track system.
Objective Set by Customer
PET Preform for the Bottles,
The objectives in relation to above mentioned product;
- To verify the Ovality of the Preform before it is integrated with the blow molding machine.
- Oval Preform gets jammed in the Blow Mold Machine and due to single Oval preform.
- The whole mechanism of the Blow mold machine and Production line goes into breakdown for at least 20 minutes (14000 bottles per single breakdown), which turns into a heavy production loss.
Challenges & Solutions
Challenge 1 :
The speed of inspection was 700 preforms/minute and refused to be operated at the same speed as it was a continuous track system.
Solution 1 :
Keeping in mind the errors, we developed a custom rejection system which installed in-line with the existing track. The existing guiding and track system was modified as per the requirement, and it delivered the results perfectly.
